Dry Cured Nitrate Free Back Bacon Joint 1.5kg


We dry cure our own back bacon in a nitrate free cure, low salt just 2.5%.

Our pork is reared just 54kms from our door.

We use Dermot Allens free range rare breed pork, Dermot farms in Baltinglass Co. Wicklow mostly Oxford Sandy & Blacks breed of pig. Dermots pigs are allowed roam free and forage on the farm, their feed is topped up with vegetables from the neighbouring farms.

Contains Salt, Sugar, Minimal trace E250(nitrites) less than 1%
